Now Tony Bramwell's writing a book

from the AbbeyRoad.Net and Eva Cassidy.Org websites:
  • Tony Bramwell, a boyhood friend of George Harrison's who worked his way up from an office boy job with NEMS to being Apple's chief record-plugger (Bill Harry's description) is working on a book of his own about the Beatles. We asked his collaborator, Rosemary Kingsland, to give us a few hints about it:

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the email. As you know, Tony is one of the very few people who were around the Beatles from the word go, long before they were the Beatles, right to the end, so his stories are authentic and real nuggets of information for Beatles fans. He really does paint a vivid and evocative picture of what it was really like to be a lad hanging out with John, Paul, George and Ringo. His book is full of some great stories of his life with and around the Beatles from the early 1950s when he was childhood friends with them in Liverpool; to going to London working for Brian Epstein; to working for Apple; to the end of the Beatles and beyond; continuing with a few stories of working within the music industry. It will be published in April 2005 by St Martin's Press New York. Tony is doing a promo tour in the U.S. then, and is planning on being at the Fest for Beatles Fans at Secaucus (New Jersey) in April.
