Daylight Savings - for the EU, it's today! For US, not until April 2.

Ahhh yes, m'love, you can blame DST on one of my (otherwise) fave historical people, Benjamin Franklin!
Here's the story!
For the rest of the world, it's a rather recent development, isn't it?! Gawd, we've had it like FOREVER here!

The only thing that really pisses me off about it is that in the winter I have to send my baby (Steph-16) out into the morning darkness to walk a couple blocks and wait for the bus, when otherwise it would have been light enough out for me not to feel worried.

And, finally, I don't particularly care for poetry, but about half of Dorothy Parker's poems are an exception:

Dorothy Parker by Al Hirschfeld
Daylight Saving

My answers are inadequate
To those demanding day and date
And ever set a tiny shock
Through strangers asking what's o'clock;
Whose days are spent in whittling rhyme-
What's time to her, or she to Time?

A very, very cute pic of Dorothy Parker
