I know you guys are curious too, right?

Okay, people ~ referring back to [ THIS POST ], I am dying to find out what characters are planned to be in the movie and what they might be doing...

...so, to start 'er off, I'm gonna suggest that I'd personally love to see ~~
  1. The times where Alistair and Brian would sit up all night with each other laughing their asses off and enjoying each other's company ~ and that was before Brian's virgin episode with marijuana!

  2. And speaking of the substance, of course everyone wants to see the movie's version of Brian and his boys the first time they smoked pot (courtesy of Dylan)!

  3. The part where Alistair's wife Lesley claims (with amusement) that Alistair is deeply in love with Brian ~ and he is forced to admit that she's probably right, albeit in a non-physical sense.

  4. I would just die to watch Brian "doting on" his baby niece Joanna.

  5. (Very sad) The Lionel Bart/Alma Cogan connection, how she became almost a wife to Brian, and then ~ to add to the trauma of Beatle tours ending forever ~ she dies.

OKAY. This is a challenge now!
I started y'all off, so use this chart for more ideas... )
(Hint-hint: I might even be persuaded to do an Eppy-spam if lots of people are cooperative!)

Here it is:
Hi everybody,

Good to see some new members signing up for the boards.

I'd be happy to drop some clues on some other characters that are in the script, but I'd love to see everybody else's thoughts first.

Who would you like to see in Brian's story? Who do you think deserves to be there?

Will the movie get Brian horribly wrong? Feb. 13th, 2008 @ 03:41 pm

"...do you know anymore about this Hollywood movie about Eppy? That sounds great, but I hope they don't get it horribly wrong like, overly nasty, punk John, pushy Paul who's the only one that wants them in suits, etc.

And the thing with Brian's personal life. I hope they don't emphasise that, especially the masochism. Also I'd hate to see them depicting Brian's homosexuality as the ONLY reason he wanted to manage the Beatles. Because that would be WRONG.

I'm really anal about these things. If they are going to do a film I hope the producers and director do their homework, and don't try to appeal to the LCD."

So, since I don't wish to overwhelm somebody else's Brian pics post with the following (which would take at least two comments to fit), I shall put it here for everyone:

Heath Ledger was a possible to cast as Brian Epstein

From fifthbeatlemovie.com ~ Producers Blog header

January 22, 2008 - 9:25pm

It is with great sadness that we learned that Heath Ledger passed away today-- he was a brilliant and daring actor who will be missed throughout the arts and entertainment worlds.

He was also on several shortlists as a possible Brian Epstein in "The Fifth Beatle" (though, to be clear, we were never in formal conversations with Heath), and everyone on our team are saddened to learn of his loss.

» ezboard ~ Your suggestions and opinions, please!
Not for Eppy lovers only:

We're seriously considering using another message board/forum host site for The Fifth Beatle Movie Board. Until now, it has always been located HERE at ezboard, Inc.

If anyone out there has ANY experience, or knowledge, or has been a member of any more pleasantly user-friendly already-hosted web platform, please comment and let us know here!
We would prefer a threaded format rather than the flat (simple chronological) format, and a system that would alert the moderator immediately via email whenever any post was made. Ezboards fails on all those points, and more.

From our movie mavins, I would love to request a totally ad-free experience for our users, if at all possible!
Flisters, give me any other points to consider!

Also need to know if anyone had any problems with any discussion boards, forums or communities, and what those problems were, so we can decide if they are a must to avoid.

Unfortunately, the discussion community I like best is BeatleLinks Fab Forum ~ but for that, I'd have to host it myself ~ and I don't have the server to install it on, nor the knowledge to run and maintain it. The eppylover is mostly a computer language moron. So a hosted forum it must be.

Please comment, okthxbye! ♥

IT WAS 40 YEARS AGO TODAY (well, last week actually)…

         …that Brian Epstein passed away.

I take the day off work every August 27th... )

I can say that I’ve been flying to both Los Angeles and London regularly, and that there is a LOT of love for the film from all the right “players” in this process.

And I’ll also add that we are still prepared to shoot in the first quarter of 2008, with a goal to premiering the film in Liverpool by the end of 2008, while the city is still Europe’s Capital Of Culture.

But please be patient as we keep more exact details behind-the-scenes for now... and since timeframes can alter and Tomorrow Never Knows, please stay tuned for more specific breaking news...

With Love,

Vivek J. Tiwary

Wow. It's been a long time since I wrote, hasn't it? Well, rest assured that "The Fifth Beatle" is very much alive and in development. We've been hard at work casting-- which those of you in the film industry know is a long, important process that requires a lot of patience... my least favorite virtue :)

And in the interest of not having rumors fly, it's best that I keep mum on our behind-the-scenes efforts for now...
In the meanwhile... )
Anyway, enough music video ramble from me. I hope to have some "Fifth Beatle" news I can reveal soon... Stay tuned...

Anybody got any suggestions?
