Shabbat Shmooze ~ Nu? Fran Drescher starring in Camelot?
Wow. I can't believe I haven't posted since the 9th.
Just haven't been able to drag myself around (online) very well lately, I guess.
It's still a bit daylight out right now, so ...

Click [ here ] for an article about Fran Drescher playing Morgen le Fey in a semi-staged production of “Camelot,” her debut with the New York Philharmonic next month.

Plus, due to her insistence, here's a little contribution from the animé & videogame-loving Stephy:

I must admit I cracked up a few times at this.

I read, clearly, and though about, the title "Camelot", but I was sure you were talking about Spamalot. I blame my parents for this.

...and darn! That reminds me...We were just at the grocery store today, and we forgot to buy a can of turkey Spam! Darn! No Spam & eggs & onions, or fried potatoes with Spam chunks for us this week! :(

Ever break up matzah into scrambled eggs and let it soak a bit before cooking it? YUM!

Seeing as this is the SS post, I'll add that I doubt if turkey Spam is kosher, even if it IS turkey... I think it's processed with the same machinery used to process regular Spam. Out of curiosity, I think I'll check the can next time. ;)

Wait...Are you serious? About the matzah and the eggs and onions and everything? Really?

If you want to get really picky about it, almost nothing is kosher because it's production wasn't overseen by a rabbi. I think that's how it works, but I've been raised with the most vague kind of Judaism imaginable. I doubt if they use the same equipment for different meats, because I imagine there'd be a lot of fake health risks along with that.

As for matzah and eggs...I've barely ever eaten matzah. I can't stand that stuff.

This reminds me of something my history teacher said to us when he was discussing passover: "I'm pretty glad that the only thing the Jews didn't have time to do was let bread rise. I mean, they could've not had time to dry their clothes, and I'd be wet all week. Or not put on their left shoe, and I'd be limping around all week. See my point?"
