THE FIFTH BEATLE NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the first newsletter from The Fifth Beatle, the in-development feature film based on the life of Beatles' manager Brian Epstein.
To kick things off, below is a message from our screenwriter/producer Vivek J. Tiwary:
Thanks for your patience and support. We know this newsletter is long overdue, and the reason for our silence is that we've been hard at work developing the film. We're in numerous conversations with several musical artists, and a handful of select actors, investors, studios, etc. Unfortunately, I can't reveal any specific details at this stage but trust me that all is moving along swiftly and the feeling in our offices is one of heightened excitement...
Starting now, however, we will periodically send you these newsletters-- informing you of our progress, drawing your attention to various aspects of the filmmaking process, pointing out developments regarding Brian Epstein or The Beatles in the press, etc.
In the meanwhile, I'd like to ask you to join our active community on our message boards (it's free), where several exciting discussions are underway. Here are a few that I like:
HOW DID BRIAN EPSTEIN REALLY MEET THE BEATLES?
WAS BRIAN EPSTEIN THE FIFTH BEATLE?
WHAT ABOUT BILLY PRESTON?
With all the recent eulogies for fantastic keyboardist Billy Preston-may he rest in peace-he's been very publicly called "The Fifth Beatle," in recognition of his performances with the band in their latter days. So you may be wondering who really deserves the title. The jury's out, but Brian appears to be in the lead...
WHICH ACTOR SHOULD PLAY BRIAN EPSTEIN?
Let us know what you think! We're collecting thoughts and opinions on our message boards, and we pay close attention to our community's ideas. Believe me, feedback has been a factor in our current conversations and efforts!
Our community and fans mean the world to us. If a movie plays in a cinema and no one is around to see it, does it make a sound? Thanks to you guys, we'll never know! :)
Until Next Time,
Vivek J. Tiwary
LINK OF THE MONTH:
"Mersey Beat", the influential Liverpool magazine that played a great role in The Beatles' early days, was founded 45 years ago this month. Happy Birthday, Mersey Beat!!
